GLENMONT – LaTelle “Bucky” Weidman, Sr., 83, died suddenly on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at home. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the NY Mets.

He is survived by his wife, MaryAnn (Pomakoy) Weidman; four sons, LaTelle Jr., Kevin, and Keith Weidman all of Selkirk and Shane (Krystal) Weidman of Wilmington, NC; his sister, Hilly Ryder (Richard Sr.); eleven grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

ALBANY- Laura Elizabeth (Tartaglia) Fitzpatrick, 96, entered Eternal life surrounded by her family, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Teresian House. A lifelong resident of Albany, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Victoria (Spinosa) Tartaglia. Mrs. Fitzpatrick graduated from the former Cathedral Academy, retired from Sterling-Winthrop, Inc., in 1983 after more than 20 years of service, and previously worked as a secretary for GAF Corporation. Laura was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formerly St. James). A homebody, devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, Laura cherished her family and enjoyed visits and phone calls from her children, brother, Paul, grandchildren, and all other family members.



Dussor, William D.

SCITUATE, MA – William “Bill” Dussor, 60, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 peacefully in his home, after losing his courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family in Scituate, Massachusetts.

Born in Albany, NY on November 28, 1957, he was the son of Ruth Dussor and Robert L. Dussor Jr. In addition to his parents Bill is also survived by his brother Robert L. (Nancy) Dussor III; his nephews Andrew and Matthew Dussor. Judy, Sandy and Nancy also survive Bill.

MENANDS- Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, Sister Denise Williams, D.C., died at St. Louise House in Albany, N.Y., on January 10, 2018.Sister Denise was 71 years of age and 52 years vocation.

Born in New Rochelle, N.Y., on December 2, 1946, Sister Denise (baptized Denise Anne) was one of three children born to Charles Monroe and Lillian C. (Fawcett) Williams. Sister Denise graduated from Holbrook High School, Holbrook, Mass., in 1964.She entered the Community of the Daughters of Charity in June 1965 from St. Joseph Parish in Holbrook. Sister Denise completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry with a Minor in Mathematics from St. Joseph College, Emmitsburg, Md., in 1969. She earned her Master’s Degree in Science Education from the State University of New York, Oneonta, N.Y., in 1979.



Asprion, Marsha M.

ALBANY- Marsha M. (Jones) Asprion 69, passed away Tuesday, January 09, 2018. Born in Ticonderoga, NY she was the daughter of the late James F. and Margaret (O’Connell) Jones.

Marsha was a legal secretary for the law firm of Bruno & Summers in Albany for many years and also for the office of Sol Greenberg.



Petrarca, Ralph

ALBANY- Ralph Petrarca, 84, passed away Monday, January 08, 2018 at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Italy, he lived in Albany since 1955 and was a union construction worker for many years.

He is survived by his sister Marcella; nieces Azzurra and Gabriela, and cousin Nicola Campana all of Italy; and his cousins Nickie Herold (Joseph) and Ann DiGiulio of Delmar. The family would like to thank the nurses, technicians and entire staff at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care and many kindnesses.

Funeral services will be held privately.



Nolan, Sr. Victoria DC

MENANDS- .Sister Victoria Ann Nolan, DC died on January 7, 2018 at St. Louise House in Menands.Sister was 98 years of age and 80 years vocation as a Daughter of Charity. Born in Albany, NY on April 22, 1919, Sister Victoria was one of 3 children born to Agnes Kent and John Nolan.Sister Victoria joined the Community of Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul in December of 1937. Sister Victoria graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy High School in Albany, NY.She furthered her education in Nursing at Catholic University, DC with a Bachelor’s in Science Degree in Nursing in 1951 and a Masters in Nursing Education in 1957.
