ALBANY-Mark McEneany, 59, died suddenly Monday June 27, 2016 at home. Friends are welcome to attend a calling hour on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany. Burial will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands.
GUILDERLAND- Jane (Pigors) Williams, 94, formerly of Voorheesville, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late George and Minnie (Witt) Pigors.. Williams
DELMAR- Donald P. Luther, 86, died peacefully Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Health Care Center.Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late William and Virginia (Martin) Luther.He was an Army Veteran of the Korean conflict. Mr. Luther worked for Niagara Mohawk for 45 years, retiring in 1993.
MENANDS - Sister Catherine Marie McGranary, D.C. died Saturday, June 18, 2016. Born in Wilmington, DE on February 1, 1920, Sister Catherine Marie, nee Marie Catherine, was an only child of Anthony Joseph and Mary Cecilia (Keefe) McGranary. Marie Catherine graduated from St. Peter and St. Paul High School, Wilmington, DE in 1938. She earned her bachelor’s degree in secretarial science from St. Joseph’s College, Emmitsburg, MD in 1965. She continued her education in Pastoral Care at Boston College.
ALBANY-Agnes Pedersen Geel, 85, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Teresian House. Agnes was born January 27, 1931 in Hudson, NY, daughter of the late Christian and Marie (Lauridsen) Pedersen, sister of Fred Pedersen (d. 2014), Doris Pedersen Vanderbilt, and Christian Pedersen Jr. (d.2004).
SLINGERLANDS- Catherine J. Mantica, 91, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Eddy Village Green at Beverwyck. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Flaherty) Cox. She graduated from St. James School and the Academy of the Holy Names. Mrs. Mantica was an active volunteer at St. Thomas the Apostle School and with the Center for the Disabled.
ALBANY- Mary R. Rowe (DiBacco), 94, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, leaving behind a legacy of family, love and generosity. Mary was born in Canton, OH on March 25, 1922, the daughter of the late Massimino and Concetta D’Aescanio DiBacco. She was educated in the City School District of Albany and graduated from Philip Schuyler High School and Burroughs School of Business.
DELMAR- Eugene A Mancuso, 86, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born and educated in New York City he was the son of the late Eugene and Mary (Squilante) Mancuso.
