ALBANY- Mildred Spinosa, 97, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 surrounded by family. Born in Ticonderoga, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Delia (Wood) Keast. Mildred was a long time member and Past President of the Greater Capital Region Business and Professional Women. She was a well known calligrapher and owner of The Paperie; a stationery business. Mildred was a real estate associate for 23 years having been with O’Connor Sullivan Real Estate, Cohn, Yaguda and Cronin, and Roberts Real Estate.
EAST GREENBUSH- Patricia H. Grant, 89, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Evergreen Commons. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Sanderson) Hanna and wife of the late Richard J. Grant. Mrs. Grant was employed for 25 years as secretary to the executive staff of Main-Care Heating then located in Delmar.
ALBANY – Katherine M. (Oliver) Fallanca, 60, died Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of Richard E. Oliver and the late Angela (Prividera) Oliver and graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School. Katherine worked for Shop Rite for several years and was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Zaloga Post Ladies Auxiliary and a Communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
ALBANY – Genevieve (Bielecki) Awad, 91, entered into eternal rest after a brief illness Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born and educated in Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Aleksander and Maryanna Bielecki. She was the beloved wife of the late Elias N. Awad; devoted mother of Mary Ann Awad (late Eileen Kelly), Evelyn Awad (Linda Glassman) and Edward Awad (late Martha Moore); cherished grandmother of Dr. Elias Awad, Emily Moore Awad, and Faith Glassman-Awad. She is also survived by her extended family Kathy, Dale, Erin and Meredith Burnham of Louisville, KY, and many treasured nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her loving siblings Stephen (Katherine), John (Dorothy), Michael (Agnes), Aleksander (Nina), Henry (Mary), and Richard Bielecki, Charlotte Bielecki Zeller (Joesph Trenske, Albert Zeller), Lee (Joseph) Baumgartner, and Agatha (Edward) Brinkman.
ALBANY- James M. Woolsey, Jr. passed away at the age of 92 on September 19, 2016.
Born in Albany he graduated from St. Anne's Academy and Christian Brothers Academy. He attended Siena College, the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, and graduated from Holy Cross College in 1948. He graduated from Albany Law School, was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1954, and practiced law in Albany for over 57 years.
ALBANY- Mary Grace (LoPonto) Kasparian, 97, passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 11, 2016 after a brief illness. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Leonardo and Anna Maria (Robilotto) LoPonto. Mary lived her life for over 60 years on Albion Avenue. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be remembered for her gracious hospitality and her cooking; especially Italian and Armenian dishes. She always said the special ingredient in all her recipes was love .No one ever left her home hungry.
GLENMONT- Marie (Klotz) Marshman, 91, died Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Teresian House. Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Theodore H. and Florence (Schaffner) Klotz. Marie was a graduate of Albany High School.
ALBANY- Patrick J. Vaccariello, 89, entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, September 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born and educated in Albany he was the son of the late Anthony and Nicolina (DeBlasio) Vaccariello. Patrick worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for 40 years retiring in 1986.
