ALBANY- Paul A. Conklin, 72, died November 23, 2016 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Arthur and Helen (Tice) Conklin. Paul graduated from Albany High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He retired as Chief Boiler Inspector after 43 years of service with NYS Department of Labor.He was a 50 year member of the Albany Elks, BPOE #49 and a member of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors representing NY State. Paul was a volunteer with Albany Pop Warner Football and served as statistician and head of fundraising. He was director of St. James CYO and an original board member of the Albany Capitals AAU girls basketball program. Paul's greatest joy in life was traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
DELMAR- Margaret "Peggy" DeMaria 81, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born and educated in Albany she was the daughter of the late James and Pauline Matta. Peggy worked for the Bethlehem School District for many years. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar.
EAST BERNE- Timothy J. Eskeli, 57, died suddenly, Sunday November 20, 2016 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born and educated in Albany he was the son of the late Herbert and Phyllis (Russ) Eskeli. Tim served NY State for nearly 30 years in the Division of Budget.
DELMAR – Estelle (Dutton) Wall, 90, died Friday, November 18, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Estelle was born in Boston in 1926. She graduated from high school at age 15. At age 18 graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in applied science (engineering) in 1943. She worked for Pratt and Whitney in Hartford, CT as an engineer on fighter airplane engines and then moved to Cambridge, MA where she met her future husband, James Wall. They were married in 1948.
ALBANY-Robert E. Monaghan, Jr., 79, died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at his home.
Born and educated in Childs, PA he was the son of the late Robert E. and Catherine (Krouse) Monaghan, Sr.
ALBANY-Frank F. “Red” Terwelp, 88, died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center in Delmar.
Born in Larchmont, New York he was the son of the late Frederick E. and Mildred F. (Robinson) Terwelp. Frank was an Army-Air Corps Veteran. He retired from the D & H Railroad after 35 years of service.
VOORHEESVILLE- Nicholas Steven Khoury, beloved infant son of Nicholas and Carolyn Khoury, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2016 in his parents’ arms and surrounded by his family. He is the cherished great grandson of Elias Khoury, great great nephew of Alice Hettinger, grandson of Michael and Frances Alvino, Steven and Virginia Khoury, and Anthony Sherwell, and nephew of Noah and Sara Khoury and Michael, Brenna, Christopher, and Catherine Alvino. He joins his great grandparents Anthony and Rose Vacca, Doris Khoury, Pasquale and Mary Alvino, and Leo Miller.
ALBANY- Carol L. (Knecht) Brenner, 90, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Born in Montpelier, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William and Alma (Klinksick) Knecht.
