CLARKSVILLE-Shaine W. McMillen, 22, died suddenly from a seizure disorder on Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Born in Albany he was the beloved son of Lowell S. and Jean M. (Hall) McMillen. Shaine was a graduate of Bethlehem High School and was working as a graphic designer for Contemporary Designs in Albany.
CLIFTON PARK- Lorinda (Pittz) Deitz, 94, was reunited with her family in the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.Born in Knox, NY on July 8, 1922 to the late Vivian (McMillen) Pittz and the late Edward Pittz, she was the fourth eldest of nine children.She moved to Delmar, NY as a child where she lived for the duration of her life.Lorinda attended Elsmere Elementary School and Bethlehem Middle School and High School.
ALBANY – Gregory “Greg” Michael Abram-Skinner, 21, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 23, 2016. Greg was born in Philadelphia, PA and attended St. James Catholic School in Albany until their doors closed at the end of the 5th grade.Greg then attended Knowledge is Power Program (K.I.P.P. Charter School) where he graduated from 8th grade. He made the short journey across the street to Green Tech Charter High School and graduated in 2013. After high school, Greg attended Schenectady Community College and Hudson Valley Community College to study Culinary Arts.
ALBANY- Donna L. Nuite of Albany passed away at the Royal Norwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwell, MA on December 22, 2016 at the age of 73. Daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Sturtevant) Nuite, Donna is the beloved sister of Frank E. Nuite of Summerfield, FL and Margaret “Peg” Bardon of Marshfield.
CORNING, NY- Ronald Thomas Deitz, 68 of East Greenbush, entered into the arms of our Lord and into eternal rest on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 8:13AM. He spent his last days honoring fallen veterans and heroes by volunteering with the Patriot Guard Riders. He was the son of Lorinda P. Deitz and the late William J. Deitz Sr.
ALBANY- Mary Lou (Donohue) Gerard, 91, died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at home. Born in Albany, daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Mahan) Donohue, she graduated from Vincentian Institute. Mrs. Gerard raised her family in Albany and later joined the work force as a clerk with the New York State Department of Health for 20 years. She was a Communicant of the Parish of Mater Christi.
Wife of the late William F. Gerard; mother of Robert (Shan) Gerard, Catherine (Joseph Moorman) Gerard, Thomas (Cheryl) Gerard, Peter (Patricia) Gerard, Michael (Christine) Gerard and the late William F. Gerard, Jr.; also survived by 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
ALBANY- Lester Betor, Sr., 91, died suddenly Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Stratton VA Medical Center. Born and educated in Albany he was the son of the late Michael and Sadie (Simon) Betor. Mr. Betor was a WWII US Navy Veteran.He was the owner and operator of the former Elsmerian Restaurant in Delmar and also managed the Pinehaven and Tall Timbers County clubs. Mr. Betor was a member of the operating engineers Local #106 and a longtime member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church.
TROY- Jane Ellen Kelly Rameé passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Born in New York city to Herbert and Marjorie (Haynes) Kelly, she attended the College of New Rochelle in Westchester, New York. In 1970, the family relocated to Albany. Jane Ellen had a long life surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She loved family, friends, gardening and spending summers by the beach. Jane Ellen was known for her wonderful parties. During her career, she worked as an employment counselor with Anton Wood Associates.
