TROY- Francis J. “Frank” Cambareri, 71, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Albany Medical Center.
Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Marciano) Cambareri. Frank graduated from Philip Schuyler High School and Russell Sage College evening division.
GLENMONT- Arthur H. Gammel, 94 died Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center. Born and educated in Albany he was the son of the late Addison and Edna (Wandersee) Gammel.
Art worked for Westinghouse Electric Supply for many years as a salesman and branch manager. In the early 1970’s he purchased Thorpe Electric Supply in Rensselaer.
ALBANY- Pearl Cobb-Allen, lovingly, surrounded by her daughters, Barbara and Carmen; granddaughter, Tammy Cobb, was lifted from her earthly journey, on October 17, 2017. At 83, Pearl succumbed to a courageous battle against multiple health issues. Pearlina or Miss Pearl, as she was affectionately called by some, was born in Auburn, Alabama on December 23, 1933 to Patsy Cobb (Big Mama) and Mr. Calloway. Years later, Pearl married Hershell Allen, Sr. and through this union, they produced seven children.
EAST GREENBUSH- Rosemary Eretano Sweatland, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born and educated in Albany she was the daughter of the late Victor and Susan (DiLillo) Eretano.
ALBANY-Patricia “Nadine” (Shay) Glenning, 92, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017.
Known as “Deanie” to family and close friends she wasborn in Adams, MA and a graduate of Catholic High in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Norbert and Ethel (Mooney) Shay.
MELBOURNE BEACH, FL.- Mary R. (Kendrick) Travis, 86, of Melbourne Beach, Florida and formerly of Guilderland, NY passed away peacefully on October 7, 2017 with her loving husband by her side after a long and brave battle with Alzheimer’s.
She is survived by her beloved husband, William E. Travis Sr., loving sons William Jr. (Susan) and Joseph (Lisa); cherished grandchildren Alicia (Roger), Alexandra, Victoria, great-grand daughter Lorelei, brother Vincent Kendrick Sr. (Linda) and many loving brother and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.Mary was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Lydia (Rohloff) Kendrick, her sister Jeanne, and nephew Larry White.
ALBANY- Jean H. (Cleary) Motta, 85, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 06, 2017 at home. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Hannah (Andersen) Cleary. Jean spent her entire working career in banking and retired from Trustco Bank.She was a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church.
Albany- Lorenz F. Loerzel, Jr., died on Thursday, October 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kingston, New York, the son of the late Dorothy Van Tassell and Lorenz F. Loerzel, Sr.He was raised in Saugerties, New York and spent his childhood in the historic home built by his great grandparents, the founders ofThe Loerzel Brothers Brewery. Larry, as he was known to family and friends, graduated from Christian Brothers Academy where he learned to play the clarinet and was captain of the band.
