I will always remember Dr. Smith as a quiet, generous, exemplary professor. He taught me Analytical Chemistry at Siena and I went on to work in analytical chemistry after I graduated. Peace, Dr. Smith, and thank you.

Sue Kelly, Carrollton, TX

I was saddened to read this morning of the passing of Dr. Smith.  He was my faculty advisor, mentor, and professor during my studies at Siena from 1968-72.  He always gave me terrific advice, and along side Dr. William Tangredi helped me to become a high school chemistry and physics teacher in Albany High School for 37 years.

The only regret I had was never completing my PhD at SUNY Albany in chemistry. At the time I was married with 4 young children and finances were tight.
I always enjoyed his lectures and labs.  I also enjoyed our Chemistry Club’s social gatherings and speaking with him.

I will remember him fondly.  Rest in Peace Doc!
