DELMAR- Frances J. (DeMaria) Aiezza, 94, died Sunday, March 8, 2015. Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Dominick and Antoinette Graziano DeMaria and graduated from the former St. James School and Philip Schuyler High School. Mrs Aiezza was the noon monitor at Hamagrael Elementary School in Delmar for 25 years. She was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary Pat Aiezza Post #1181 Catholic War Veterans and a Communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
Frances is survived by her husband of 68 years, Andrew A. Aiezza; her two sons Pat Anthony Aiezza of Schodack and Andrew (Deborah) Aiezza of Schodack; her brother Joseph (late Eileen) DeMaria and sister, Marie (late Joseph) Choppa; sister-in-law Peggy DeMaria; grandchildren Melissa Carpinello Aiezza, Pat Anthony (Renee) Aiezza, Jr., Gianna Aiezza, Lee (Jessica) Aiezza and Amanda (Kristopher) Keenan; also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Anthony and Dominick DeMaria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 9:15 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl, Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Church gathering area prior to the Mass from 8:00- 9:00 am. Burial will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to the VA Catholic Fund, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208,Attention Fr. Grasso or to St. Thomas the Apostle Church Memorial Fund, 35 Adams Place, Delmar , NY 12054.
