Albert, Harold J. Sr.

ALBANY- Harold J. Albert, Sr., 88, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Albany VA Hospital. Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha (Konkosky) Albert. Harold was a WWII Marine Corps. veteran. His courage as a Marine and victory on Iwo Jima made his family and country proud. He was a retail driver for Normanskill and Crowley Dairy for 35 years and a longtime Albany landlord.

He was husband of 65 years of the late Celia (Jones) Albert who will be waiting for him with tears of happiness. He is survived by his children who will miss him and always remember the quality time they spent together: Harold J. (Francis DeNicola) Albert, Jr. of Worcester, MA, Bryan G. Albert of Albany, Diane C. (Andre Krievs) of Stephentown and Robert J. Albert of Albany; grandchildren, Beth-Ann (Christian Landrum), Adam, Kaylena and Danielle; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mildred Morwin, Marion, William, Charles and George Albert.
