Altieri, Peter Paul

VOORHEESVILLE- Peter Paul Altieri died suddenly on Monday, November 16, 2009.

Born in Yonkers he was the son of Nicola Altieri of Albany and the late Silvia (Ricciardi) Altieri. Peter was a passionate cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

Beloved wife of 24 years of Linda A. (Hensel) Altieri; dedicated, loving and best “Mr. Mom” to his sons Nicholas Paul and Andrew Peter Altieri; brother of Rena (Donald) Schewe of Syracuse, Andy (Cecilia) Altieri of Albany, Nickolas (Marie) Altieri of Loudonville and Roseanna (Michael) Haggerty of Woodstock, NY; also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Debra Hensel of CA, Susan (William) Smith, John Hensel, Karen (Darrell) Duncan, James (Tanya) Hensel all of Voorheesville, Michael (Barbara) Hensel of Rotterdam, Kathleen Hensel of Guilderland, William (Linda) Hensel and Maureen Hensel both of SC, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins both locally and in Italy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 9:30 am in All Saints Catholic Church (formerly St. Margaret Mary’s) Western Ave at Homestead St. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany, on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Scholarship fund for Peter’s sons c/o Citizens Bank 1375 New Scotland Rd, Slingerlands, NY 12159.
