Angela P. Allen

ALBANY- Angela (Lillian) "Lilly" Palmisano Allen, age 99, passed away on Monday May 26, 2025 at her home. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Martino and Maria Palmisano. Lillian worked for the City of Albany Police Department as a crossing guard for over 40 years. She was dedicated to her job and in addition to their safety, she took a personal interest in the lives of all the children she encountered. She also worked for the NY Telephone Company and NYS Office of General Services at SUNY, Albany. Lilly was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a caring sister.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter W. Allen, and her sisters Grace Armando, Mary Palmisano and her canine companion Romeo. Survivors include her daughters, Donna Williams, and Janet (Jack Riley) Chiachiaretta, her grandchildren, Kevin (Morgan) Williams, Jaimie (Scott) Williams-Peterson, and Diana Chiachiaretta; great grandchildren Marissa, Wyatt, Weston, Gabriel, and Gavin Williams, Spencer, Brennan and Claudia Peterson; and brother, Cataldo Palmisano, as well as many nieces and nephews,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 10:30 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church 391 Delaware Ave. Albany. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Online condolences may be offered at danielkeenanfuneralhome.com
