ALBANY - Anthony J. “Tony” Perry, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 23, 2026 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. He was born in Albany on March 12, 1945 to the late James A. Perry and Rose Ferrandino Navolio. Anthony was an employee of the Albany City School District, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and his friends.
Anthony is survived by his wife Maria, and his three children, Peter “Sky King” Perry, Rosemary “Miss America” Helinski, and Antonio “Big Shot” Perry. Anthony was the proud Nonno of seven, Anastasia Perry, Anthony Allegra, Amaya Thomas, Kameron Perry, Cecilia Perry, Mason Perry, and Juliet Helinski. He also has four great grandchildren.
Anthony loved watching old movies, especially vigilante movies with his favorite actor Charles Bronson. He would tell stories about his younger years to anyone who would listen. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. We love you Pops…
Calling hours will be held on Monday June 29th from 10am to 12pm at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany, followed by a funeral service at 12pm. He will then be interred in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice at St. Peter’s, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
