ALBANY- Robert J. Asprion, 68, died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Frederick M. and Esther B. (Kosinski) Asprion.

Bob was the father and best friend to his beloved daughters Jacqueline (Joseph) Montiglio and Stacy Asprion both of Long Island.

Upon graduating from Albany High School Class of 1962, Bob started an apprenticeship with Bricklayers Local #6 in Albany becoming a journeyman bricklayer in 1968.Bob worked on numerous projects in the Albany area including the State University, Wolf Road corridor and the infamous South Mall. Later, when work slowed in the area, Bob transferred his Union book to NYC and Long Island where he worked on many projects in Mahhattan, Queens, the Bronx and most of Long Island. Bob was also a life member of the Polish-American Citizens Club.

In addition to his daughters, Bob is survived by his brother and best friend Frederick (Marsha) Asprion and several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Stephen J. Asprion and his nephew and godson Michael J. Asprion.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 8:45 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home,490 Delaware Ave. thence The Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St. Albany, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am. Interment will follow the Mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with his family Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
