Asprion, Stephen J. “Steve-O”

ALBANY- Stephen J. “Steve-O” Asprion, 62, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany, he was son of the late Frederick M. and Esther B. (Kosinski) Asprion. Stephen was a 1971 graduate of Albany High School.He worked for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance for over 33 years, retiring in April 2013.He was a member of the Albany Elks BPOE #49 and a communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Stephen was an avid golfer, a diehard Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed hunting big game.

Survivors include his brothers, Frederick S. (Marsha) Asprion and Robert J. Asprion all of Albany; his aunt Betty Kosinski; two nieces Jacqueline (Joseph) Montiglio and Stacy Asprion; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his nephew Michael J. Asprion.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home Inc., thence to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, corner of Madison Ave. and Eagle St. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
