Barney, Josephine

ALBANY-Josephine (DeGraitis) Barney died Friday, January 3, 2014 at Hudson Park Nursing Home. Born in Worcester, MA and educated in Scranton, PA she had lived in Albany since 1943. Mrs. Barney worked as a kitchen aide at the former Ten Eyck Hotel for many years. She was a Communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

She was predeceased by her husband George Barney and her siblings, Helen and Donald. Survivors include her two children; Joanne and John; her sister Edwina Henninger; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, at the corner of Madison Ave. and Eagle St., Albany. There will be no public calling hours.
