Battaglia, Sandra J. “Sis”

ALBANY- Sandra “Sis” (Jennings) Battaglia, 77, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Albany Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late John and Mabel (Yetter) Jennings and graduated from the former Cathedral Academy. Sandra worked in information services at Albany Medical Center for 25 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society. Sandra enjoyed traveling, including family trips to Lake Placid, casinos, and attending special events with her many friends.

She was wife of the late Thomas Battaglia; mother of Jody (Larry) Norfleet of Albany, Joseph (Deborah) Battaglia of Halfmoon and Kristen (Michael) Bellini of Selkirk; grandmother of Jenna and Loren Norfleet and Lola Bellini; loving sister of Joann DeLisle of Albany, Michael (Theresa) Jennings of Albany and the late John Jennings, Robert Jennings, Arlene Fissette and William Jennings; sister-in-law of Judy Jennings, Patricia Jennings, Deanna (Robert) Campolungo and Robert (late Mary Jane) Bouchey. She is also survived by loving cousins and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m.. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
