Albany - Only 34 years old, Koshan passed away suddenly in his sleep on March 7, 2012. His passing means a great deal to all of his family and friends that adore him. All that knew Koshan saw him as a joyful, funny, carefree young man who could brighten anyone’s day. His child-like innocence and zest for life brought much happiness to his family and friends.
Koshan had many interests and a general desire to learn all he could about the world around him. He brought intelligence and wit to all his endeavors. He especially loved cooking and gardening as well as discussing movies and books with his partner, and also watching endless episodes of The Golden Girls. In his free time, he would go on excursions with his grandmother, Laverne, with whom he had a special bond, and on the weekends he would look forward to visiting his mother Angela’s house and cooking her one of his special recipes. He also loved animals and had a special place in his heart for Angela’s cats Chaos and Candi.
Koshan had a knack for turning the most mundane chores into something fun and unexpected. He could find the humor in any situation and have you in stiches over the smallest things. He was a comedian with a heart and loved to make his friends and family laugh.
Koshan was the guy you could take home to meet your mother. Every one of his friend’s mothers loved him. He was respectful and caring, sometimes to a fault. If he had one dollar on him and someone asked him for change, Koshan would give him his only dollar. Koshan was an incredibly giving person and often reached out to strangers to lend them a hand. His friendliness and generosity were well known and oftentimes he would stop to speak in the street with the many people he had befriended over the years.
Koshan will be missed for many years to come and we want him to know that our happy memories together will always be cherished.
