Bruno, Thomas Sr.

PALM COAST, FL.-Thomas Bruno, Sr., died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home in Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Travis) Bruno; his children, Thomas Bruno, Jr., Anthony (Loredana) Bruno and Tamara (Eric) Fisher; grandchildren, Michaela and Thomas Fisher, Anthony and Giuliana Bruno; a sister, Marlene Snyder (Randy Coon); a brother, Richard Bruno; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Harry Bruno and a sister, Pat (Bruno) Neal.

Tom was born on February 5, 1936 in Washington. PA. He spent the majority of his youth in Westerlo, NY and attended Berne-Knox-Westerlo School. Tom was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving from 1953 – 1957. In his younger years, he coached Little League, was a Boy Scout leader, served as president of the Clarksville School PTA, and loved to play Santa Claus. Tom was very generous with his time and knowledge; he was always the first to help out someone in need. Tom was a vivid storyteller who would captivate his audience’s attention sharing his life adventures. Friends and family will always remember the story of the USS Knudson and the whale.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Tom’s family on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m.
