Butterworth, Janet D.

DELMAR- Janet (Doring) Butterworth, 86, passed away peacefully Monday, November 02, 2015 surrounded by her family.Born in Albany and a graduate of Albany High School, she was the daughter of the late William Theodore and Mary (Houghtaling) Doring. Mrs. Butterworth was a dedicated homemaker and mother and after raising her family, she returned to the workforce with NY Farm Bureau. She was a life member of the Third Reformed Church.

She was the loving sister of Ethel M. Doring and the late Dorcas R. Doring; beloved mother of Lynne Ruth (Robert) Williams of Phoenixville, PA, and Gayle Ann (Roger) Griffiths of Delmar; proud grandmother of Andrew Robert and Brett Daniel Williams, Roger William (Patricia) Griffiths, Jr. and Michael Benjamin Griffiths; cherished “GGB” of her great grandchildren Roger William Griffiths, III and Elsie Katherine Griffiths.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Janet at a graveside service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Graceland Cemetery, 680 Delaware Ave. Albany, NY 12209.
