SAN DIEGO, CA – Barry M. Calabrese, 53, lost his battle with cancer on November 4, 2016. Barry was born and raised in Albany, NY and lived in San Diego, CA for the last 28 years. He leaves behind his wife Jeannine of 20 years, his daughter Megan and sons Michael and Matthew, his parents, Rosario and Anna Mary Calabrese, siblings Kathy Stelman (Robert), Theresa Colbert (Michael), Christopher (Cindy), MaryAnne, and Kevin (Alison), and his in-laws, Marian and Lionell Sousa, his brother-in-law and sister in-law Robert and Heidi Sousa. Barry also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Barry attended St. James elementary school, Bishop Maginn high school and SUNY Brockport. Barry worked for the San Diego department of probation for the last 17 years, retiring on October 21st due to his illness.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at 1:30pm at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd. Loudonville. All are invited to attend. There will also be a Ceremony of Life in San Diego, CA for Barry on December 10th. Most of us know someone who has struggled with cancer.
