Caputo, Antoinette “Ann”

ALBANY- Antoinette “Ann” V. (Pompi) Caputo died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Luisa (Cerasaro) Pompi. Mrs. Caputo worked with Albany County Children Services for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.She loved cooking and entertaining her family making every Sunday meal feel like a holiday. Mrs. Caputo was a member of the Rensselaer Senior Center.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Luke Caputo, and her brothers Carl Pompi, Frank (late Mary) Pompi; and her twin sister Louise (late Robert) Antoinette. She is survived by her children Michael J. (Suzanne) Caputo of Latham, and Paul E. (Valerie) Caputo of Guilderland; her cherished grandchildren Jenna (Nick) Laboda, Deanna, Franchesca, and Nicole Caputo; great-granddaughter Liliana Laboda; and her sister Mary (late Robert) Reilly; also several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Eddy Green in Cohoes for the excellent care and kindnesses extended to Antoinette.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 7, 2016 9:15 a.m. from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. thence to The Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with her family Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
