Carey, Richard Nelson

ALBANY- Richard N. Carey, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

Born and educated in Albany, he was son of the late William Joseph and Clara Carey.

He was a Marine Corps. Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Carey worked in the NYS Office of Mental Health for 25 years retiring in 1996.He was a Communicant of the former St. Patricks Church.

Husband of the late Evelyn Pratt Carey; brother of Ronald B. Carey; also survived by many friends.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 26 at 10:30 am in the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas (Formerly St. Patrick’s Church) Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. prior to the Mass from 9 am- 10 am. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
