LIVERPOOL-Anthony J. Carlino, 84, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, NY.

He was born in Albany, and was the son of the late Nicholas and Agnes M. (Doyle) Carlino. Anthony was an engineer with General Electric, working on the lunar landing module project, along with many other projects around the world. He retired in 1992 after more than 30 years of service.

Anthony was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid New York Mets fan, enjoyed playing the organ, traveling, and was the only Carlino to play varsity basketball. He was predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Marilyn, in 1996, and his sister, Rosemary Vita.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael (Stephanie) Carlino of Fairport, NY, Matthew (Amy) Carlino of Liverpool, NY and Nicholas (Julie) Carlino of Cary, NC; a brother, Donald (Carol) Carlino of Albany; a sister, Patricia (Ed) Evans of Fort Ann; a brother-in-law, Joseph Vita of Albany; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Benjamin, Marissa, and Joel.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., Albany. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie.
