Comstock, Loretta R.

ALBANY-Loretta R. Comstock, 97, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Born in Albany, she spent most of her life in the Town of Bethlehem. She was a Communicant of St. John’s/St. Ann’s Church , Albany and Christ the King, Guilderland. Mrs. Comstock was a member of the Bethlehem Grange and charter member of the Town of Bethlehem Historical Association. She was employed at Glenmont Post Office for 10 years.

She was the wife of the late John M. Comstock and was predeceased by her sister, Helen M. Oliver. Loretta was a devoted aunt. Her survivors include two nieces, Mary H. Felice of Stockbridge, GA and Joan Oliver of Glenmont; her nephew, Willard J. Oliver of Chestertown; nine grandnieces and grandnephews, eleven great-grandnieces and grandnephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Monday, January 25, 2010 at St. John’s/St. Ann’s Church, Fourth and Franklin Streets, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Selkirk. There will be no calling hours.
