Cox-Morris, Kathleen

LATHAM- Kathleen A. Cox-Morris, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Ryan) Cox. Kathy graduated from Siena College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. She worked for the NYS Unified Court System in Albany, retiring after 17 years of service. She was an active member of the Shaker Pointe community and had a special relationship with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. While at Shaker Pointe, Kathy participated in many activities including the book club and fitness classes. She was very organized and loved to decorate her home. Kathy was a true “fashionista”.

She is survived by her devoted husband Donald Morris; her loving sisters Christine (Bruce) Fensley of NC and Colleen (Steven) Hassett of Slingerlands; her niece Meg (Richard) Wilber

and grand-nephews Joshua and John Wilber; also many cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family prior to the Mass on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 10-11 am at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave. Albany 12203. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.

NY 12110 to benefit the sisters retirement.
