SOUTH BETHLEHEM- Dean A. Pemberton Sr, 84, of South Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at St Peter’s Hospital on December 10, 2025 with his wife by his side. He was the son of the late Arthur and Hilda Pemberton.
Dean was born in Albany, NY on June 12, 1941 and spent his childhood years in Ravena. After graduating from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, he proudly served six years in the United States Navy where he developed the discipline and resilience that would guide him throughout his life. Following his service, he began a long career as a truck driver, spending decades on the road and taking pride in the work that supported his family. During his younger, healthier years he enjoyed summer trips to Maine, puttering around the house, woodworking, painting and keeping his cars in tip top shape. He lived a life marked by dedication, hard work and quiet strength.
Dean is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carol Pemberton; his children Dean Pemberton Jr. (Diane) and Kelly Kschinka (Bruce); his sister, Dawn Recene; his cherished grandchildren, Quinn and Whitney Kschinka, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 27, 2025 at 10 am at St.Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Place, Delmar. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
