DEGENER, PAULINE B.
RENSSELAER- Pauline (Wotkowicz) Degener, 97, formerly of Holmes Ct. Albany, flew up to heaven on the wings of angels Tuesday, March 02, 2010 by the clouds and stars and past where no one sees. She now walks with Jesus and her awaiting loved ones. Born in Adams, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Wszolek) Wotkowicz. She attended Polish Schools and was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. She moved to Troy where she worked as an assistant dietitian at a Troy hospital. It was there that she met her future husband of 59 years, Allen P. Degener who predeceased her in 1998. After moving to Albany, Pauline was a Communicant of St. James Church and member of the Rosary Society.
Loved ones she leaves behind to miss her include her children, Louise (Wayne) Dusenbery, Henry A. (Gale) Degener and Paul D. (Kathi) Degener. She was dearly loved by nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is survived by her dear sister-in-law Mrs. June Degener and many nephews and nieces. Pauline was predeceased by her brothers Michael, Stanley, Frank and Chester Wotkowicz,; three sisters Catherine and Helen Wotkowicz and Sister Mary Vincent, C.P.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Those who wish may send contributions to St. James Church Memorial Fund, 391 Delaware Ave., Albany, NY 12209.
