Dennis G. O'Brien, Sr.

NISKAYUNA - Dennis G. O’Brien, Sr., 82, passed away on Friday July 26, 2024. He was born in Albany on April 1, 1942 to the late John M. and Katherine Lamouree O’Brien. Dennis served in the Marine Corps and was Honorably Discharged in 1961. He worked for 55 years as an operating engineer for the Local 106. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Suzanne, Nancy, Michael, and Virginia.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Dennis Jr., Peter, and Christopher (Nina); his grandchildren, Shannen (Nate), and Christopher Jr.; his sister, Gail; and many nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday August 6th from 10 to 11am at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave, Albany, followed by a memorial service at 11am. He will then be interred at Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
