Depasquale, Santa M.

ALBANY- Santa M. (Gitto) DePasquale passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 just 8 days before her 97th birthday. Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Rao) Gitto.

Mrs. DePasquale was a homemaker and for many years worked for J. DeBeer where she was a baseball stitcher. She was a longtime communicant of the former Holy Cross Church, enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family.

Wife of the late John A. DePasquale, Sr.; mother of Agnes (Thomas) Sharer of Albany and John A (Dawn) DePasquale, Jr. of Cobleskill; grandmother of Lori (Steve) Wing, Annmarie (George) Clark, Thomas (Michelle) Sharer, John (Michelle) DePasquale and Nicole (Don) Campbell; great-grandmother of Michael and Matthew Wing, Alexis, Taylor and Jordan Clark, Ryan and Natalie Sharer, Michalena and Angelia DePasquale; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings Mary Germano, Angeline Genovese, Gussie Catizone, Charles Gitto, Bessie McMahon, Anthony Gitto and Josephine Conora.

A special heart felt “Thank You” to the Religious Sisters, nurses, staff and residents at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care and the kindnesses extended to Santa and her family during her time as a resident.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, Western Ave. at HomesteadStreet, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited any may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
