GLENMONT- Hope M. (Carpenter) Drobner, 73, died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Passaic, NJ, daughter of the late George Carpenter and Clara Carpenter-Jones, she lived most of her life in Selkirk. She worked at her mother’s establishment, the former Clara’s Restaurant and Bar in Glenmont and was former owner of the Cedar Hill Tavern of Selkirk.She was Past Lt. of the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance Service.
Wife of 54 years to Kenneth F. Drobner, Sr.; mother of Tracie (Paul) Roberts of Glenmont, Terry (Ray Hazzard) Tornquist of Glenmont, Dawn (Terry) Anderson of Salem, Alabama, Candi (Eugene) Millett of West Coxsackie, and Kenneth (Robin) Drobner, Jr. of West Coxsackie; sister of George (Darlene) Carpenter of Oregon, Robert Carpenter of Boston, MA, Beth (Delmar Flowers) Carpenter of Anchorage, Alaska and the late Faith Mitchell and Gary Carpenter. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
