ALBANY- Bertina C. “Tina” Duval, 95, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Daughters of Sarah Senior Community. Born in Vermont, she lived most of her life in Albany. Tina worked in the banking industry, retiring from Home and City Savings after many years of service.She was an active member of the Delmar Presbyterian Church and was the oldest, longest serving volunteer with Delmar Senior Services where she remained active into her 90’s. Tina was a spectacular bridge player. She traveled extensively throughout the US and abroad, especially London and Paris with her daughter Joyce. She also lived for a year in the British Isles with her daughter Jacqueline and family. Tina was a loyal friend of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
She is survived by her daughters Joyce Grogan of Slingerlands and Jacqueline (James) Heisler of Holland, Michigan; her sister Elaine Spoor; grandchildren Julie Heisler Brackbill and her husband Richard St. John Brackbill, Jr. and Daniel Paul Heisler; two great-grandchildren Eden Grace and Logan James Brackbill; her niece Karen Spoor and nephew Yu-Hung Kwong (late Linda Spoor Kwong)
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 3-6 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 23, 2016 at 9:45 am from the funeral home thence to the Delmar Presbyterian Church, 585 Delaware Ave. Delmar at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Graceland Cemetery, Albany,
