DELMAR- Joseph Anthony Emma III, 29, passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Born in Albany, he was the beloved son of Joseph A. and Anne Marie (Giddens) Emma, Jr.; devoted father of Paysen Lynn Emma the “apple of his eye” (her mother Annette Krebs) and loving brother of Michelle Emma. Jos also known as Joey, was a graduate of CBA and Mass College of Pharmacy, where he received his BA in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management. Jos also received his LPN from Maria College and developed many caring relationships within the elderly and disabled community where he worked. Jos’ passion was body building, health, nutrition and cooking. He devoted his time, energy and talent to strength training and body sculpting. Jos received several trophies and first place medals at local competitions, most recently the NPC NYS Grand Prix Body Building Championship in Poughkeepsie; qualifying for national competitions. He possessed many musical talents including playing the drums, guitar, saxophone and piano. Jos was a jokester and his witty sense of humor kept his family and friends entertained especially with his impersonations guaranteed to lift everyone’s spirits.

Jos was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents Joseph and Georgia (Trudeau) Emma, Sr.; Daniel and Felicia (Ferlazzo) Giddens, Sr.; He is also survived by his aunts and uncles Delores and Anthony Marrello, Daniel and Crystal Giddens, Jr., Marilyn and Peter Giso, Sr. as well as many cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 35 Adams Place, Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 3 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.

Those who wish may send memorial contributions for the benefit of his daughter to the custodial account of Paysen Lynn Emma, c/o Bank of America, 111 Delaware Ave. Delmar, NY 12054.
