Emsing, Mary K.

ALBANY- Mary K. (Michalski) Emsing, 93, died Friday, August 12, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center.

Born and educated in Albany she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Zienkiewicz) Michalski. Mrs. Emsing worked for the NY Telephone Co. for over 35 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and AARP #2873.

Mother of John (Kathy) Emsing of Scottsdale, AZ, Robert W. (Mary) Emsing, Sr. of Albany and Marirose H. (Joseph) Cubello of Guilderland; sister of Sophie Wend of Albany, and the late Irene Anderson, Walter, Richard and Isabelle Michalski and Josephine Ottman; grandmother of Colleen (Larry) Felske, John H. Emsing, Carol (Justin) Rhatigan, Robert (Betsy) Emsing, Jr., Erica, Joseph, Alyssa, Jenna and Brian Cubello; also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave., Westmere (Albany 12203). Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Mary’s family at the Church on Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m., prior to the Mass. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
