Fallanca, Katherine M.

ALBANY – Katherine M. (Oliver) Fallanca, 60, died Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of Richard E. Oliver and the late Angela (Prividera) Oliver and graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School. Katherine worked for Shop Rite for several years and was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Zaloga Post Ladies Auxiliary and a Communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish

In addition to her father Richard, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Michael F. Fallanca; her daughter Joann and son-in-law Jason March; siblings Richard K. (Kathy) Oliver and Susan Diskin; her father-in-law Frank Fallanca; sister-in-law Deana (Gerry) Walsh, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formerly St. James Church), 391 Delaware Ave, Albany. at 10:00 a.m.. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
