Fisher, Rita L.

ALBANY- Rita (Link) Fisher, 96, died Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Teresian House. Born and educated in Albany she was the daughter of the late Jacob J. and Katherine (Sheehan) Link. Mrs. Fisher retired from the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation in 1981 after over 20 years with the state. She was a Communicant of the former St. Catherine of Siena Church.

Wife of the late Irving J. Fisher who died in 2011; mother of Kathleen (Willis) Paull of Las Vegas, NV Marcella (William) Helderlein of El Cajon, CA and Joseph (Amy) Fisher of Rogers, AR; sister of the late Richard E. Link and Jacob Link, Jr.; grandmother of Michael Gale, Elizabeth Gale-Fagan and Emily Paull-Acheson; great-grandmother of Willis Claude Acheson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St. Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Rita’s family at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
