MENANDS- Daughter of Charity Sister Sylvia Flavin (Julia) died on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at St. Louise House, Menands.
Julia Agnes Flavin, daughter of Julia F. Franey and Edward J. Flavin, was born in 1915 in Syracuse, NY and grew up there with her two sisters and brother.
Sister met the Daughters of Charity at the Cathedral Academy, Syracuse, NY and became a member of the Community in 1938.
Sister Sylvia was an educator and guidance counselor for over 40 years in a variety of settings: St. Joseph
