ALBANY- Mary Lourdes (McCall) Ford, 95, entered into eternal life Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Bethlehem Commons in Delmar. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John and Hannah (Keefe) McCall and graduated from the former Vincentian Institute. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the College of Saint Rose, Class of 1940, where she was crowned Rose Queen. She also earned a Master’s degree in library science from State University of NY at Albany.Mrs. Ford was a librarian at Albany High School for many years. She was a communicant of All Saints Catholic Church.Mrs. Ford was an active member of the City Club of Albany. She loved sewing, travel, classical music and was an avid reader.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Ford; daughter Mary Ellen and her brother John J. McCall. She is survived by her children, Christine Ford and Donald (Mary Frances) Ford; grandchildren Daisy (Paul) Paglia, John, Thomas, Frances (Matthew Cirincione), Bridget and Catherine Ford; her great-grandchildren Paul and Danielle Paglia; her niece Elizabeth Reynolds and nephew James Ford.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 8:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave., thence to All Saints Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am.Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 4-7 pm. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
