DELMAR- Frederica Zoe Fotiu, 68, of Delmar went with the Lord and ended her courageous battle on August 03, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by the love of her life, her loving partner Milton Papas; her loving siblings Foti JP Fotiu (Theresa) of Raleigh, NC; Alexandra Papas (late Yanni), Helen Anastasio (Joseph) and Polikseni Fifi Fotiu all of Albany. Frederica was loving aunt to Athina Sgambati (Sam), Basile (Colleen) and George Papas, Theadora (Neal) Howell, Benjamin (Michelle), Dino, and Marcella Anastasio; and loving Godmother/great-aunt to Isabella Anastasio. Many great nieces and nephews that she loved very much also survive Frederica.
Frederica was a parishioner of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. She was a hair stylist and former owner of Jolie Madame Coiffeurs. She was also owner/operator of Uncle Milty’s Diner in Glenmont and Aegean Delights. Frederica had a gift of making everything around her beautiful. All who knew her felt her big, tender and selfless heart. She loved gardening and was a great and creative cook. She celebrated life and embraced every member of her family and friends closely.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. A Trisagion service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
