Francis, George L.

DELMAR- George L. Francis, 85, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany and a graduate of Albany High School he was the son of the late Harold L. and Katharine (Meyer) Francis. Mr. Francis served in the United States Army during WWII with Headquarters Company 765th TC Railway Shop Battalion. Mr. Francis worked as a clerk for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance for over 30 years.

Survivors include several cousins and many dear friends.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside committal service at 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2013 in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, 303 Sand Creek Road, Colonie.
