Franklin, Patrick J.

ALBANY- Patrick J. Franklin, 69, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness.

Born and educated in Albany, Patrick was the son of the late John J. and Mary (McAvoy) Franklin. He worked as a prefect with students at LaSalle School in Albany for over twenty years. He had a passion for sports. He coached football at the Pop Warner level and was an assistant coach at Bishop Maginn High School, where he was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2015.

He is survived by his brother John T. Franklin; and his sister Mary F. Sheevers and her husband, Harry Sheevers; nieces and nephews, Sarah Franklin, Elizabeth Camardello and her husband, Sam, Erin Sheevers and her husband, Rocco Marciano, Brian and John Sheevers.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Ave. Delmar. Interment in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
