Frasier, Richard I.

ALBANY-Richard I. Frasier, 85, died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center.

Born and educated in Springfield, Mass. he was the son of the late Harold and Charlotte (Larabee) Frasier. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Richard retired in 1993 as a regional auditor with Grand Union after 40 years with the company. He was a Communicant, usher and greeter at the former St. John’s-St. Ann’s Church and a member of the former Catholic Youth League. He was a volunteer at St. Peter’s Hospital for many years with the Mobile Meals program.

Husband of 49 years of Marie (Goes) Frasier; brother of Wayne Frasier of Iowa City, IA, C. H. Frasier of San Diego, CA. and the late Carol Ann Frasier; godfather of Helene Erickson, Thomas Erickson and Martha Ryan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A special “Thank You” to the staff at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center for their care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany and 9:30 a.m. at the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with Richard’s family at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m.. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
