Geisel, Rita K.

ALBANY- Rita (Kielma) Geisel, 85, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. Born in Albany and a graduate of the former Vincentian Institute, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica (Riley) Kielma. Mrs. Geisel was a homemaker. She was a communicant of the Parish of Mater Christi formerly St. Catherine of Siena Church.

Wife of the late Donald G. Geisel; mother of Donald (Susan) Geisel of Clifton Park, Edward (Mary) Geisel of Guilderland, and Raymond (Jacalyn) Geisel of Clifton Park; grandmother of Christopher, Timothy, Brian, Sean, Gregory and Julia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 9:30 am in the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 4 to 7 pm. Interment, Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
