Gilman, Angela R.

ALBANY- Angela Rose (Esposito) Gilman, 92, passed away peacefully, March 6, 2016 at The Wesley Community Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. The world lost a most beautiful soul and Heaven received another angel .Angela is predeceased and being welcomed into eternal life by her beloved husband of 65 years, Raymond B. Gilman, Sr., her parents Carmella (Vitale) and Fortunato Esposito, her siblings Joseph, Anthony, Dominick, Frank and Rose Esposito, Vera and Earl Gearhart, Anna and Vincent (Jimmy) Iadicicco, Josephine Palm Esposito Fox, and Mary and Anthony Fontanelli, along with many other family and friends.

Angela is survived by her loving children Georgianne (William) Crabill, Sr. Michael Gilman, Raymond (Deborah) Gilman Jr. and Carmel (Anthony) Capriola; her grandchildren Angela Hart, William Crabill, Jr., Jessica Crabill, Lisa (Shawn) Gathen, Raymond C. (Samantha) Gilman and Kimberly (Josh) Udell; great-grandchildren Seth Walker, Chloe and Nathaniel Towle, Drew Gathen, Christian and Caleb Udell. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and friends all of whom she loved dearly.

Before marrying Raymond Gilman, Angela worked as a waitress at the former Rappazzo’s Restaurant in Albany and in later years, she worked for the American Red Cross as a blood donor solicitor. Her main occupation was being a housewife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all those who love her.

Angela’s family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff at The Wesley Community for their compassion, caring, sense of humor and wonderful support and assistance, especially Charles “Dutch” Hayward, Administrator, all the nurses and CNA’s on 3 Springs and 4 Victoria who provided extraordinary care for their mom; Julie Moyer, Maryann DiGiovanni, Diane Westbrook, Paula D’Elia, Terry and George and all the activities department staff; Fawn Brown, and Sara, Friend and former CNA on 3 Springs.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Angela’s family Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc. 490 Delaware Ave. Albany.

Funeral services will be held Friday March 11, 2016 at 9:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, thence to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 125 Eagle St. Albany where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
