ALBANY- Grace Rotundo, 89, passed away on Saturday, July 5th, 2025 at Albany Medical Center. She was born in Calabria, Italy and immigrated to the US in the early 60s and settled in Newburgh, where she lived before coming to Albany.
Grace worked for the New York State Thruway Authority for 32 years. She loved cooking for her family, especially Sunday dinners which included her delicious homemade meatballs and sauce made from her own homegrown tomatoes.
Grace is predeceased by her husband, Mario, whom she was married to for 65 years. She is survived by her children, Luigi Rotundo, Sarah Schumann, and Michael (Tracy Winnie) Rotundo, grandchildren, Jonathan Rotundo, Jennifer Schumann, Michael, Nicholas, and Cheyenne Rotundo, and Amanda Wrobel, and great-grandchildren, Thomas Bishop, Michael, Maverick, and Mason Rotundo, and Ezra Torres.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave, Albany from 10 am to 11:45 am, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon.
