Hanna, Grace B.

COHOES- Grace B. Hanna, 100, formerly of Albany, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Eddy Village Green. On July 3 this year, she enjoyed her very happy 100th birthday celebration with family and friends. She sang along with the D.J. and danced (with assistance) to some of her favorite old songs. Her smile all day was even bigger than her usual ever present smile! She was the daughter of Abraham and Frieda (Thoma) Hanna. She was a production worker at the former Sterling Winthrop Drug Company in Rensselaer retiring in 1978. Miss Hanna was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church.

She was predeceased by her sister, Emily Denault and her brother, John Hanna. Survivors include her cousins, Michael Thoma of Nassau, Elizabeth (Thoma) Kelleher of Middletown, Marilyn (Thoma) Lacombe of Queensbury, Beverly (Thoma) Wagner of Port St. Lucie, FL and Ruth Bayne (Thoma) Paris Queensbury.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 1 St. George Place, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Church prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
