ALBANY- Rose Harris, 91, of Albany passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Rose was born in Catskill, NY to the late Vincent and Rose Picardi and was very proud of her Italian heritage.

She was predeceased by ten siblings, her granddaughter Theresa and her husband Wilbur Sr.

She was a loving and devoted mother to Wilbur Jr., Lillian, Rose, Donna, Vincent (Barbara), Paul, Linda, Anna (Joseph), Mary (Kenny), Barbara (Richard), Tina, Michael and Joseph (Vicky).

She was the cherished grandmother to Kimberly, Christine, Sandra, Michelle, Rose, Joy, Michael, Brenda, Alfred, Joseph, Frank, Dawn, David, Lisa, Carmelita, Samuel, Leonaldo, Joseph, Tara, Michael, Mickaela, Christina, Sara, Michael, Crystal, Angelina and Danielle.She was beloved by 48 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rose lived a long and blessed life.Her life was devoted to caring for her family, she taught them all the values of strength, independence and compassion.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Peters Hospice Center and a special thank you to her nurses Doris, Jennifer and Victoria.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 2-5 pm at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave, Albany.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 9:15 am from the funeral home thence to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 391 Delaware Ave, Albany at 10:00am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, followed by burial at St. Patrick Cemetery, N. Jefferson Ave. Catskill.

Those wishing to remember Rose in a special way are asked to make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 in lieu of flowers.
