Jackson, Bernice

ALBANY- Bernice Jackson, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, May 23, 2016. Born and educated in Aliceville, AL, she had lived in the Albany area since 1972. Bernice was a Central Supply Technician at Albany Medical Center for more than 30 years, retiring in 1996.

Beloved mother of Yvonne (Myron) Avant, Dana Jackson, Diane Johnson and Robert Watson; grandmother of Myron, Alexandra, Marquis, Dana, Jr., Dante, Elijah, Sabrina, Ronald and Stacia; great-grandmother of Nianna, Nyaira, Nazavier, Naomi, Declan and Quiron; sister of Catherine, Mary Jean, Mattie and Willie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Greater St. John’s COGIC, 74 4th Ave., Albany, NY 12202. Viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. All are welcome to attend. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, 680 Delaware Ave., Albany.
