Khoury, Doris C.

ALBANY- Doris C. (Hettinger) Khoury, 85, died Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Delmar.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (McCann) Hettinger. Mrs. Khoury was a graduate of the former Philip Schuyler High School. She worked as an operator for the New York Telephone Company for seven years before leaving to raise her family. She was a homemaker and a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Beloved wife of Elias G. Khoury; mother of Steven E. Khoury of Voorheesville and her daughter-in-law Virginia Khoury, Mark R. Khoury and his wife Linda of Delmar; grandmother of Laura (Greg) Rowe, Linsey (fiancé Thomas Mazzaferro) Khoury and Nicholas (Carolyn) Khoury, and Noah (Sarah) Khoury; sister of Alice Hettinger; and sister-in-law of Libby Hostig. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Good Samaritan for their kindness and care of Doris during her stay there.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc. 490 Delaware Ave. Albany.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Entombment will follow the service in the mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery, 680 Delaware Ave. Albany.
