Khoury, Elias G.

ALBANY-Elias G. Khoury, 89, died Saturday, February, 4, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Health Care Center. Born in Albany he was the son of the late George and Martha (Antone) Khoury. Mr. Khoury was a graduate of the former Philip Schuyler High School and an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a cable splicer foreman for the former Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., now known as National Grid, for 38 years. He was a member of the Guttenberg Lodge # 737 Free and Accepted Masons. Elias enjoyed gardening for many years, was an avid poker player and enjoyed wagering at OTB and Saratoga Flat Track.

Beloved husband of the late Doris C. (Hettinger) Khoury; father of Steven E. Khoury of Voorheesville and his daughter-in-law Virginia Khoury and Mark R. (Linda) Khoury of Delmar; brother of Libby (the late Michael) Hostig of Cohoes and the late George Khoury; grandfather of Laura (Greg) Rowe, Linsey (fiancé Thomas Mazzaferro) Khoury, Nicholas (Carolyn) Khoury and Noah (Sarah) Khoury; great-grandfather of the late Nicholas Steven Khoury. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. His family wishes to thank the staff at Good Samaritan for their kindness and care of Elias during his stay there.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am on Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
