LOUDONVILLE- Robert "Bob" Kisselback, 86, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Hospice Inn, at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany. Born in Albany on January 26, 1928, he was son of the late James Sr. and Katherine Murphy. He was raised in Albany where attended St. Patrick’s Institute and graduated from Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) in 1945. Bob served our country in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1946-1947. He went on to attend Albany Business College where he continued his academic and athletic career.While in college, Bob was captain of both the cross country and soccer team and was recognized as an outstanding student. Bob was a competitive force on the track team while at CBA and as captain of the cross country team. With his numerous accomplishments and athletic accolades, Bob was inducted into the CBA hall of Fame in 1991.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan, and his children, Bobby (Sherri), Ann Marie Price (Glenn), John, David, and Caitlin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley (Patrick), Sean, Bryan and Rachel and his son-in-law Rick Searcy. Bob was predeceased by his brother, James Jr., sister, Katherine Ann and his daughter Patricia Searcy.
Bob worked for the NYS Division of Military and Naval Affairs for 20 years where he served as superintendent. Bob was dedicated to the community in which he lived. He was Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He served on the school board of St. Pius X; served as president of the Central NY Soccer League and president of the Rensselaer Twilight Baseball League; he served on the Board of Directors for the Capital Region ‘Stand Down for Homeless Veterans’ for 8 years and ran the ‘Sno Man’ fundraiser for the Center for Disability Services.For years Bob has coordinated and participated in fundraisers that have benefited organizations such as Regional Food Bank, Arbor Hill Pantry, Toys for Tots, Colonie Police D.A.R.E. and the CBA Phonathon.Bob also served as president of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials on the Adirondack Board, became a life member of the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1997 and received the ’50 Year of Service Award’ in 2006, being 1 of 5 people to ever receive this honor.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Pius X in Loudonville on Thursday morning July 3, 2014, at 10am. Calling hours will held on Wednesday evening July 2, 2014 at the Church of St. Pius X from 4-7 pm. Interment will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bob to Christian Brothers Academy, 12 Airline Dr, Albany, NY 12205 or St. Pius X, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211.
